Manchester United must make some changes after a disastrous start to the season, according to CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN.

The Red Devils’ humiliating 3-1 home loss to Brighton on Saturday created an unwelcome and embarrassing new record.

The terrible start to the season for Manchester United persisted.

For the first time since the Premier League’s inception in 1992, Erik ten Hag’s team has now dropped three of its first five games.

Before the Seagulls loss, United’s away visits to Tottenham and Arsenal ended in failure.

In their other two games, they unconvincingly managed to defeat Wolves and Nottingham Forest.

Eriksen has now determined how the team can improve the situation.

The 31-year-old Danish midfielder remarked, “The little things. When we scored today, we had an offside at Arsenal, but it was out of play.

The minor details we are lacking, along with a little luck, are what will allow us to succeed and reap the rewards of our labor.

“Every game at the beginning of the season, regardless of who you play, is crucial.

“We concentrate on our games, and we aim to win every game we play. However, we have already lost three, so we need to do better.

As a member of a revamped diamond midfield for United against Brighton, Eriksen played the complete 90 minutes.

When VAR determined that the ball had left the field during the buildup, Rasmus Hojlund’s home debut goal was disallowed.

Former United striker Danny Welbeck scored the opening goal for the Seagulls, and then Pascal Gross, Joao Pedro, and Hannibal Mejbri each added goals after the break.

The Old Trafford fans booed loudly as Ten Hag substituted Anthony Martial for Hojlund.

It is a heavy one, Eriksen continued, reflecting on the loss. We must examine ourselves.

We made some changes, but we’re still unhappy. We had a lot of opportunities and strong control in the first half.

They had lots of possession but few opportunities.

“They then score on their first opportunity, and because of the method they use, they maintain the ball for long stretches, so we had to go after it. However, we still had opportunities to enter the contest again.

Christian Eriksen believes that in order for United to succeed, “small things” must alter.

Brighton performed incredibly well at Old Trafford.
