A pro-New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth group, Spartans for NPP, has pledged to mobilize its 17,000 members across Ghana to enable the party to achieve its “Breaking the Eight” agenda, especially recapturing all lost seats for NPP in 2024 general elections
The group indicated its resolve to campaign massively and secure additional over 30,000 votes for the NPP in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
At the official launch of the group theme for 2024 campaign “Building Bridges to Break the Eight with Spartans” in the Greater Accra Region, National President of Spartans for NPP, Okatakyie Dennis, disclosed that the aim of the group is to build a very active youth to campaign and support the NPP to continue to stay in power.
He said Spartans members strongly believed that it was only the NPP that could run the affairs of the country with its youth-centered policies and developmental projects
He charged members of the group to go all out and propagate the policies of the NPP government to the people of Ghana and not wait until elections get closer.
“Introduction of the ‘100 Spartans’ is to mobilize our committed and dedicated membership ever ready to hit all orphan constituencies to massively campaign for Dr. Bawumia and all NPP parliamentary candidates to recapture all lost seats. Our members keep growing day in day out across the country and our target is to get the NPP 30,000 votes by the end of the 2024 elections. That is our determination,” he said.
Okatakyie Dennis also urged members of the group to remain hard-working and be active in politics, so they can also climb to a high pedestal to occupy key positions in the party.
The founder of Spartans for NPP, Mr. Frederick Green indicated that the youth play a critical role in helping any political party win power in Ghana and the NPP, as a political party that believes in democracy, sees the youth as the future of this country.
He explained that he expects members of the group to be poised, energized, and activated to be able to start the campaign to propagate the policies of the NPP government to the masses.
Mr. Frederick Green added that they will roll out training workshops in entrepreneurship, IT, and leadership to build the capacities of the members of the group to make them ready for the party’s transformational agenda.
“With all the numerous youthful policies of the NPP government, we are rallying the youth to project the progress that the NPP has made since we took over in 2017”.
Other national Executives called on members of the group to remain united, loyal, and work hard for the party to retain power in 2024.
