The Dormaa Central Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Drissa Ouattara, has revealed the assembly’s initiatives to ensure all roads are constructed, thereby facilitating the unhindered movement of goods and people
In an interview with Kwaku Mensah Abrampa on GIFTs FM Morning Show, the Dormaa Central MCE revealed that the machinery intended for the District Road Improvement Program (DRIP) is being utilized prudently for the construction of all feeder roads within the municipality. This initiative aims to enhance the infrastructure, ensuring safe and accident-free transportation. Additionally, extensive construction for asphalt overlay on all other roads is underway and will be completed as soon as possible.
He emphasized that the omniscient Aboabo roads, often used as a campaign message by politicians, have had their contract terminated under Cocoa Roads and reassigned under GoG funds. He stated that this would expedite its completion, enhancing mobility. Additionally, he mentioned that the deteriorated Paamu road would soon be asphalted to reduce accidents and alleviate stress on our roads.
Hon. Drissa Ouattara underscored the Assembly’s endeavors to advance infrastructure development within the municipality, highlighting that ongoing efforts are focused on installing streetlights to mitigate excessive darkness at night. Additionally, he noted that his collaboration with the central government has resulted in the construction of a grand lorry terminal for Dormaa Ahenkro, and he is committed to ensuring the development of a pedestrian walkway to reduce accidents.
According to him, these projects, among many others, are being undertaken to bring relief to the residents of Dormaa Central.
Providing an update on the construction of the Education Office for the Dormaa Central Education Directorate, he stated that the ground floor of the project is completed and ready to accommodate the officers, allowing them to perform their duties without any hindrance.
