KASOA: MARKET WOMEN CRY FOUL OVER TASKFORCE ACTIVITIES, EXPRESS REGLECT OVER 2024 2024 VOTE
Some market women in Kasoa have expressed regret over their decision to vote against former Member of Parliament Hawa Koomson and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections, with some calling for the party’s return to power.
The women say they are dissatisfied with the performance of the current Member of Parliament, Naa Koryoo, whom they accuse of failing to meet their expectations compared with what they describe as the achievements of the former MP and the NPP in Kasoa.
Speaking to *BKB* during a breast cancer awareness programme organised by the Awutu Senya East NPP Women’s Wing, the market women raised concerns about alleged disturbances to their businesses by a task force, which they linked to the NDC MP and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Banini.
According to the women, the task force’s activities are negatively affecting their businesses and livelihoods, leaving them frustrated over the handling of market related issues in the municipality.
