Local media reports indicate that eight players have withdrawn from the Black Stars squad ahead of their upcoming AFCON 2025 qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

Among those missing is Antoine Semenyo, who pulled out due to a patella tendon injury from an intense playing schedule. Alexander Djiku, Inaki Williams, Tariq Lamptey, and Joseph Paintsil are also unavailable due to injuries.

Jonas Adjetey, who was nearing full recovery, suffered a setback in his last league match on November 9, while Jerome Opoku is dealing with chronic back pain, aggravated during a recent match against Besiktas. Paintsil has withdrawn for personal reasons.

The Black Stars will face Angola at Estadio 11 de Novembro in Luanda on Friday, November 15, 2024, and will take on Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, November 18, 2024.
