Ghanaian striker Bernard Tekpetey has expressed his concerns about the state of Ghanaian football, stating that there is still a lot to be done at the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Tekpetey’s comments come after the Black Stars failed to qualify for the AFCON 2025, while the Black Galaxies also missed out on the CHAN tournament.

lThe Ludogorets striker emphasized the need for better strategies to elevate the performance and competitiveness of Ghana’s national football teams on the international stage.

Speaking in an interview with Asempa FM, Tekpetey stated that the GFA needs to prioritize effective planning and organization for the national teams.

“There’s still a lot to be done at the GFA, and I believe things need to be put in order,” he said. “The leaders need to plan very well towards the national team.”

Tekpetey, who is currently recovering from an injury, is optimistic that aligning administrative efforts with on-field ambitions will help secure the future of Ghanaian football. The experienced forward has two caps for the Black Stars of Ghana and is eager to see the team succeed.

The Ghanaian striker’s comments highlight the need for a more structured approach to managing the national teams. He expressed his desire to see Ghana’s national teams compete at the highest level and bring pride to the nation.
