The School Chaplain for Bechem Presbyterian Senior High School (PRESEC- BECHEM) in the Ahafo region, Rev. Gilbert Ntow Asare has charged all teachers in the various senior High Schools, especially Bechem PRESEC to put into action a generous lifestyle before their students to help these students emulate them for a better future.

 

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Saturday, when the school held its matriculation ceremony to officially welcome the SHS students, Reverend Gilbert Ntow Asare indicated that the teachers must live exemplary lifestyles for their students to imitate them.

 

He emphasized the fact that corruption has become an order of the day as a result of corruption and corrupt-related activities that happens in various schools on the sides of the teachers and the lecturers which are easily copied by learners.

 

He disclosed that most teachers use to practice sex for grades, examination malpractice, and other corruption activities which he said must be stopped with immediate effect to help raise better students for the future of the country adding that the students and the teachers must be God-fearing to help them receive the necessary blessing from God.

The Headmaster of the School Mr. Edwin Odame Amoah added that the government has done a lot to ensure all SHS students go to school for free under the Free Senior High School policy but parents and other stakeholders have a lot to offer to support the Free SHS policy to ensure effective development of the various schools.

He said the school is constructing a girls’ dormitory to augment the dormitory deficit in the school hence philanthropists, stakeholders, and government must come to their aid to help them finish it on time.

Finally, The Assistant Headmaster, of Academics for the School Mr. Kusi Marfo Joseph advised the students to listen to advice from their parents and teachers to help shape them for a better future.

 

He pleaded with the students to stay away from early sexual intercourse which according to him will lead to teenage pregnancy and negatively affect their fortunes in education.
