Supporters of veteran Ghanaian actor Agya Koo, born Alexander Kofi Adu, have been urged to move beyond jokes and take a more realistic approach, rather than claiming to form a “third force” in Ghana’s political landscape with the BASE group.

Lawyer Godlove Adjei Tenkorang dismissed the claims, describing them as unrealistic within the current political environment. He rejected the idea outright, questioning the viability of any emerging third political movement in Ghana.

Speaking on Angel FM in Kumasi, he expressed strong skepticism about the chances of groups like BASE gaining significant traction.

“If they are planning to establish a third force in Ghana, I am sorry to say it is not possible—at least not in this generation,” he stated.

He argued that Ghana’s political system is firmly rooted in a two-party structure dominated by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“It may be possible in another generation, but not now,” he emphasized.

Drawing comparisons with other countries, he pointed to political systems in the United States, South Africa, United Kingdom, and Nigeria, noting that they are largely dominated by two major parties that have shaped their governance over time—similar to Ghana.
