The association emphasised that the safety and security of teachers remain a top priority.
GNAT strongly condemned the incident, describing it as unacceptable, and called on the appropriate authorities to act swiftly to ensure justice is served.
The assault has raised concerns within the education sector, with increasing calls for stronger protection measures for teachers nationwide.
Meanwhile, the local assemblyman has appealed to the affected teachers to return to the classroom while efforts are being made to address the situation.
He urged calm and cooperation, assuring that steps are being taken to resolve the matter and restore normalcy.
GNAT also called for calm among its members, reiterating its commitment to ensuring a safe and secure working environment for teachers across the country.
