A strong suggestion has been made by THIAGO SILVA that he will leave Chelsea at the end of the current campaign.

The defender’s contract with Stamford Bridge is coming to an end in six months.

At the end of the current campaign, Thiago Silva has made hints that he might leave Chelsea.

This year, the ace turns 40, and in the summer, his contract expires.

He will turn 40 in September, but he still contributes significantly to the Blues.

Last night, Chelsea defeated Middlesbrough 6-1 to secure their spot in the Carabao Cup final, with Silva playing a key part.

In his four years at Stamford Bridge, the Brazilian has already won the Club World Cup, the Super Cup, and the Champions League.

However, Silva made a suggestion following Chelsea’s triumph in the Carabao semi-final that the Chelsea showpiece event at Wembley next month might be his final opportunity to win a trophy with the team.

“I’m happier because of the team’s performance and now that we have another final at Wembley,” the center back stated.

“If my memory serves me correctly, I lost all three of my visits there. Thus, I believe it’s time to triumph.

“I’m very proud when I hear my name being sung by fans.” I was able to defeat them with such passion in such a short amount of time.

“Every time I play here, I’m happy because it was really quick.” It’s a unique and distinct feeling.

“And I know with that each game that ends I have the feeling that it’s ending, so that makes me a little sad.

The performance on the field, though, is what matters most, and I’m satisfied with it.

PSG released Silva in 2020, and Chelsea signed him on a free transfer. Pundits dismissed Silva as being past his prime.

However, Silva went on to guide the Blues to their second European victory, and under Thomas Tuchel, they won the Club World Cup the next season.

Silva has made 141 appearances for Chelsea and netted seven goals throughout that time.

In addition, he has seven goals in 113 appearances for Brazil.

Although Silva hasn’t retired from international competition, he hasn’t been called up since Brazil’s 2022 World Cup elimination.
