Barcelona, starved for cash, is selling diamonds crafted from Nou Camp grass in the midst of financial difficulties.

In order to alleviate their financial difficulties, BARCELONA has devised a Nou concept to assist create some additional income.

And that’s by whipping them and transforming the grass from their former, famous home into diamonds.

 

Barcelona’s Nou Camp Stadium is presently being destroyed in preparation for a renovation.

 

They have listed the seats from their famous former residence for sale.

 

It is also possible to purchase diamonds created from the hallowed turf.

 

They’re even available for purchase on specially made badges.

 

In July 2022, Barcelona declared that they would be moving on with their plans to update the Nou Camp stadium.

The project is expected to be completed in time for the start of the 2025–2026 season, at an estimated cost of £1.25 billion.

With the massive renovation, the stadium’s capacity will increase from 99,354 to 105,000 seats, making it the largest football ground in Europe (Wembley is in second place with 90,000 seats).

Along with a new name for the stadium, a roof will also be constructed in accordance with the club’s £237 million sponsorship agreement with Spotify.

 

As a result, the Olympic Stadium will host their home games in 2023–2024.

But as the team is in severe need of cash, we previously reported that the LaLiga giants have apparently put the entire roster up for sale.

Superstars like Antoine Griezmann, Ousmane Dembele, and Lionel Messi have all had to leave the team in order to balance the budget in recent years; it is believed that the club owed close to £1 billion in debt in 2021.

Barca revealed a £263 million pre-tax profit for the previous year last month, although a substantial portion of that money came from the sale of future TV rights.

 

Additionally, they still need to bring in additional revenue because their operations exceed the £234 million LaLiga spending cap.

It has now been revealed that the team has found additional methods to use the surplus funds from their stadium renovation.

By selling used seats from the ground, they are providing supporters with the opportunity to purchase items of Nou Camp memorabilia.

The most costly item on their website is a hardwood frame that costs £260.

The least expensive, put on a black foundation, cost £86.

 

Barcelona was already making money off of torn-up turf when building started.

However, in a novel approach, they can be obtained in additional ways than the conventional one.

Barcelona is offering a line of ethical and environmentally friendly diamonds made from the carbon in the grass from their season-ending home game.

The carbon in the grass is used to create the diamonds, which are then crystallized utilizing advanced technology and renewable energy sources to create completely sustainable pieces with no negative environmental effects.

 

According to Mundo Deportivo, each rough diamond has been expertly shaped to “obtain unique pieces” and each one “comes accompanied by a certificate of authenticity detailing the origin of the carbon, the characteristics of the diamond and the series certification.”
