Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito has commended Black Stars head coach Otto Addo, calling him a disciplinarian and tactical strategist. Zito’s praise comes as the Black Stars prepare for their final matches in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

Despite Ghana’s challenging performance in the qualifiers, Zito, a veteran in Ghanaian football, expressed confidence in Addo’s approach. “This coach you see, nobody can divert his course… He’s very disciplined and very tactical,” Zito shared with Citi Sports, noting Addo’s dedication to his vision for the team.

Zito emphasized the importance of local players making extra efforts to meet Addo’s standards, especially when competing against players from European leagues. He noted, “It’s a fact; the local players have to do extra before they come.”

The Black Stars held their first training session on Monday with eight players at the Accra Sports Stadium. They will continue training before departing for Luanda on Wednesday. Facing Angola on November 15 and Niger on November 18, Ghana is eager to secure a place in the 2025 AFCON tournament in Morocco despite the odds, currently holding third place in Group F with two points from four games.
