Mr. Isaac Amponsah Badu, the Bono Regional Director of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), has disclosed the leadership’s initiatives aimed at minimizing instances of co-payment and unauthorized fees imposed by healthcare providers. These efforts are designed to guarantee that the vulnerable can access high-quality healthcare without facing financial hardship or intimidation.

In a conversation with journalists following the First Quarter Review meeting at the Dormaa District office of the National Health Insurance Authority, Mr. Isaac Amponsah Badu underscored that illicit charges and co-payments represent the most frequently reported challenges faced by the authority.
