The SWESBUS Old Students Association (SOSA) has strongly condemned the alleged assault involving students of Swedru School of Business (SWESBUS) following videos circulating on social media.

In an official statement dated February 23, 2026, the National Executive Committee (NEC) of SOSA expressed grave concern over footage that reportedly shows SWESBUS students engaging in acts of physical violence against students of Obrachire Secondary Technical School (OSTECH).

According to the association, while investigations are still ongoing to establish the full facts of the incident, SOSA “denounces these acts and condemns them in the strongest possible terms,” stressing that violence has no place in educational institutions or society.

SOSA reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring justice and discipline through several key measures. The association pledged its full support for the involvement of security agencies and maintained that any individuals found culpable must face the full rigours of the law. It also disclosed that it is actively engaging school authorities to ensure total cooperation with law enforcement in addressing the matter.

Additionally, SOSA emphasized its resolve to help restore discipline within the school, stating that it will work closely with the school administration and the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) to uphold the standards of character and lawful conduct for which SWESBUS is known.

The association extended its deepest apologies to the students who were allegedly assaulted and offered prayers for their swift recovery. It also apologized to the general public for the disturbing nature of the content shared online.

SOSA reiterated its commitment to promoting discipline, accountability, and peaceful coexistence within the educational community as investigations continue.
