On Monday, 27th February, 2023, President Akufo-Addo received letters of credence from new envoys from the Republic of Guinea, Canada, New Zealand, Bangladesh, and Mauritius at the Jubilee House.
The President congratulated the envoys on their appointments and expressed Ghana’s readiness to support them in fulfilling their duties to deepen bilateral relations with their respective countries.
He also highlighted Ghana’s willingness to engage in areas of mutual interest such as education, agriculture, health, trade, and investments for the benefit of their peoples.
The new envoys also expressed their commitment to strengthening the already existing good relations between their countries and Ghana for mutual benefit.
The envoys included H.E. Mr. Jean Matho Dore, Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea, H.E. Ms. Martine Moreau, High Commissioner of Canada, H.E. Mr. Michael Ian Upton, High Commissioner of New Zealand, H.E. Mr. Mohammed Shahdat, High Commissioner of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and H.E. Mr. Mohammed Abdellahi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
Overall, the meeting demonstrated the importance of maintaining strong ties between Ghana and its international partners for the betterment of their respective nations.
