The National Service Authority has withheld PIN codes for more than 22,000 prospective national service personnel as part of efforts to verify their identities.

The Authority says the decision follows the need to ensure that only qualified individuals are enrolled into the national service programme.

The affected prospective personnel are expected to complete the required verification process before their PIN codes can be released.

Officials say the move forms part of measures to improve transparency and prevent irregularities within the national service system.
