Controversial media personality and social critic Afia Pokuaa ( alias Vim Lady) is questioning how Ghanaians who are complaining about the lack of money are able to go to Kwahu ( in the Eastern Region) to partake in Easter festivities.
Vim Lady seems unable to fathom how penniless suffering Ghanaians are able to ‘chill’ in Kwahu, something truly broke people should be unable to do.
Writing on social media, Vim Lady wondered how chilling in Kwahu is possible with money. “Eiiii Ghanaians, “no money”, “no money” but see the chilling you are chilling in Kwahu,” she wrote with a thinking emoji to drum home her surprise.
Her comment has been met with mixed reactions from her followers on social. While some agree with her at many are chilling in Kwahu despite the economic challenges with the explanation that a chilling budget is always reserved in spite of whatever economic difficulties, others wondered how a few Ghanaians having fun in Kwahu negates the economic hardship that Ghanaians complain about.
“Point of correction some Ghanaians, not all Ghanaians madam. Some are hungry and have nothing to even eat. Speak for those u are seeing, The Whole Ghana is not in kwahu,” Beatrice Jackson retorted.
Kwahu is arguably the most desired Easter holiday destination in southern Ghana. Year in year out during Easter, many troop to the town to spend their holidays.
