Kennedy Agyapong, a flagbearer hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has declared that he will remain with the party even if he is not chosen to lead the party into the 2024 elections. Agyapong has expressed his dissatisfaction with the unfairness in the process leading up to the election, but remains committed to the party he has helped build.
“I am not ready to do that. I will make them know that I am a man. I will be in NPP and if we are fair, I will continue to serve the NPP,” Agyapong said. His anger stems from the fact that people who begged him to buy pickups for the party in the past are now threatening to collapse his businesses.
“I don’t take any nonsense. I was called and told that they will destroy my business, but that cannot happen. I’ve worked hard, and they cannot destroy my sweat. I am not afraid of anyone. A man who has sold on the streets in Ghana and Germany, you cannot destroy me,” he angrily stated.
Agyapong is determined to lead the NPP into the 2024 elections, but his commitment to the party remains firm even if he is not chosen as the flagbearer. He believes that the party needs to be fair in its selection process and that he will continue to serve the NPP in any capacity.
