Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on party supporters to rally behind President John Dramani Mahama and actively support the government’s agenda to ensure its success. He emphasized that the fortunes of the Mahama administration are closely linked to the party’s image and credibility, warning that any failure would impact the entire NDC, not just the President.
Speaking during his “Thank You Tour” in the East Gonja Constituency on Thursday, May 14, Mr. Asiedu Nketia urged party members to remain disciplined, committed, and cooperative as the government works to deliver on its promises to Ghanaians.
“Our party members, who brought the party to power, must remember we have three years remaining in Mahama’s tenure. We need to support the government to succeed,” he said.
He also warned against actions that could undermine the administration, highlighting the importance of unity and collective responsibility. “If Mahama fails, the embarrassment will fall on all of us; Mahama will not only take the fall, but all of us,” he added.
The NDC Chairman further encouraged party members to inspire one another, uphold the party’s reputation, and contribute positively to the government’s development agenda. He concluded that the success of the administration will ultimately benefit both the party and the people of Ghana.
