Hearts of Oak’s Communications Director, Kwame Opare Addo, has revealed that the club has yet to finalize a decision on returning to the Accra Sports Stadium for their home matches.
The Phobians are currently hosting their games at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, while renovations are ongoing at the Accra Sports Stadium to meet the standards required by CAF and FIFA.
In an interview with Accra-based MAX FM, Opare Addo stated, “Legon is a suitable venue, and we were pleased to see a positive outcome in our first game there. Our goal is to maintain that momentum at the Legon Sports Stadium and ensure consistency throughout the season.”
He emphasized that for now, the University of Ghana Sports Stadium will serve as their home ground, adding, “The decision to return to the Accra Sports Stadium will be made at the appropriate time by the club.”
Hearts of Oak are set to face Aduana FC in their Matchday Five clash of the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, with kick-off scheduled for 18:00 GMT.
