In week 24 of the Serbian Superliga, FK Spartak Subotica secured a crucial 2-0 victory over Novi Pazar, thanks in large part to the outstanding performance of midfielder Edmund Addo. Playing alongside Noboru Shimura as the two pivot midfielders, Addo dominated the midfield throughout the match, making timely interceptions and recoveries to break down the opponent’s attacks and creating problems in their half with his passes into attack.
The win was particularly important for Spartak Subotica, who had failed to secure a victory in their previous four matches and were sitting in the bottom three of the table, making relegation a serious concern. However, thanks to Addo’s contribution, the team moved above the relegation zone and into 11th position in the Serbian Superliga.
Addo has been a regular starter for Subotica since joining the club on a free transfer from Moldovan club FC Sheriff in the winter transfer window. His solid performances have been a key factor in helping the team achieve much-needed victories and points in the Serbian Superliga.
