Dormaa East MP cut sod for the construction of football park for Kyeremasu community

The Member of Parliament for Dormaa East, Hon. Rachael Owusuaa, has initiated the construction of a football playing field for the youth in Kyeremasu, a community within the Dormaa East District, with the aim of promoting football and its related activities.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, the Member of Parliament remarked that this project fulfills a request made by the youth of Kyeremasu, aligning with a promise she made during her campaign for the 2024 general elections.

She commended the youth for their proactive efforts in preparing for the construction of the football park. To support the project, she contributed Gh¢60,000 and 50 bags of cement, emphasizing her willingness to provide additional funds if necessary. She noted that the field will feature natural grass, rather than AstroTurf, to ensure sustainability, and urged the youth to offer communal support to the contractor to facilitate the project’s timely completion.

 

Nana Akosua Adoma Ababio, the Queen Mother of Kyeremasu, expressed her gratitude to the Member of Parliament for fulfilling promises and offered prayers for divine blessings upon the MP, the District Chief Executive, and their entourage, encouraging them to persist in undertaking developmental projects for the district’s advancement. She assured the MP of the community’s support to ensure the timely completion of the project.

 

The Assembly Member for the Ahenboboano Electoral Area, Honorable Encok Siaw, along with several youths, expressed gratitude to the Member of Parliament for the support. They emphasized that the project will significantly provide an opportunity for them to showcase their football talents.
