NPP’s timely intervention saved pregnant women from losing babies on poor Obuasi roads – Deputy NADMO Director

According to Mr. Bright Nyampong, the Deputy Director of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in Obuasi, pregnant women in the area were at risk of losing their babies due to poor road infrastructure. However, he praised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for their timely intervention in improving the road conditions, which has saved lives.

In an interview with Ultimate FM, Mr. Nyampong highlighted the significant improvements in road infrastructure in Obuasi under the current government, particularly the transformation of the previously pothole-ridden Ahwiankwanta-Obuasi stretch.

He recalled the number of lives lost, including unborn babies, on the road during the previous administration of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by former President John Mahama.

Mr. Nyampong called on Ghanaians to be patient with the NPP government, promising that the challenges facing the country will be eradicated with time.

He acknowledged the impact of external factors like the Covid-19 pandemic and the Ukraine-Russia war on the country’s development but remained optimistic about the government’s ability to deliver on its promises.
