Celebration of World Youth Day: A Call to Action for the Youth of Western North, Ghana 

 

Today marked a significant occasion as HRH Oheneba Nana Kwame Obeng II joined The Most Rev. Samuel Nkuah Boateng, Bishop of the Wiawso Diocese, and the Vicar General of the Wiawso Diocese to celebrate World Youth Day. Over 2,000 young people from the Western North Region of Ghana attended the event, which was a remarkable gathering of hope, inspiration, and community.

 

As the esteemed chairman of this significant program, HRH Oheneba Nana Kwame Obeng II delivered a poignant and motivational address to the youth, underscoring their pivotal role in the future of the region. He urged them to be mindful and deliberate in their actions, reminding them that the future of the Western North region is inextricably linked to their choices and decisions.

 

“The youth of Ghana are now seen as hopeless because of the high unemployment rate, the destruction of water bodies, and the cutting of trees, which have affected the weather conditions of Ghana,” HRH Oheneba Nana Kwame Obeng II highlighted. His words echoed the sentiments of many, addressing the pressing issues that plague the young generation today. The challenges of unemployment, environmental degradation, and adverse weather conditions are significant hurdles the youth must navigate.

However, in the face of these daunting challenges, HRH Oheneba Nana Kwame Obeng II imparted a message of unwavering hope and resilience. “Despite the trials we face, I firmly believe that there is always hope in Christ. With unwavering determination and adherence to good morals, we can and will overcome all obstacles,” he declared. His call to action was resolute: through faith, determination, and moral integrity, the youth can pave the way to a brighter future.

 

The celebration of World Youth Day in the Western North region was a moment of reflection and a time for rejuvenation and motivation. The Most Rev.
