Actress and former convict Rosemond Brown is appealing to the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to grant a presidential pardon to female prisoners in the country, particularly the elderly.

Brown, who gained notoriety for her social media twerking, was arrested by the Ghana Police Service for taking nude photos with her underage son and subsequently served time in prison after being convicted. After her experience behind bars, Brown is now urging the government to consider the poor conditions in which female inmates are living and increase their feeding grants.

She is also pleading with the government to pardon certain prisoners, including elderly and young girls who have been declared as condemned and have no homes. While acknowledging that their crimes were not right, Brown believes that these prisoners deserve forgiveness.
