The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Feed Ghana, responsible for institutional farming, Hon. Gordon Kwaku Asubonteng, has articulated the objectives behind the training of 506 Brigadiers in connection with the Feed Ghana initiative.
He stated that this group of 506 individuals, all possessing advanced degrees in agriculture, underwent comprehensive training at the Ghana Police Training School to serve as Feed Ghana Brigadiers. Their primary roles include providing agricultural extension services and promoting discipline within the agricultural sector, thereby ensuring the effective implementation of the Feed Ghana Program and fostering positive outcomes in the agricultural domain.
Hon Gordon Asubonteng announced the official employment of 506 Brigadiers within the Agricultural Sector. He said each individual has been provided with a motorbike and an iPad to facilitate their work at their designated work areas, thereby enhancing agricultural practices in the country and contributing to the achievement of effective food security.
He emphasized that the Brigadiers will serve as Agricultural Extension Officers, highlighting the critical shortage of human resources within the agricultural sector.
