The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Lawyer Joseph Addae Akwaboah, has expressed commendation for the Transport Minister, Hon. Joseph Bukari Nikpe, recognizing his visionary leadership in the transformation of the transport sector.

In his address during the official commissioning and handover of the Dormaa Ahenkro office of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), the Bono Regional Minister highlighted that under the minister’s guidance, the DVLA has evolved into a modern, customer-focused institution, delivering services with determination and innovation to better serve the people of Ghana.

He subsequently urged the staff assigned to the newly inaugurated office to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, ensuring the provision of quality services that inspire confidence. He remarked that the DVLA office is expected to enhance road safety and compliance, thereby stimulating socio-economic growth by facilitating the efficient movement of goods and services throughout the region.

The Dormaa Central Municipal Chief Executive, Honorable Dominic Adoma Ameyaw, in his Speech expressed his gratitude to the Dormaa Central Member of Parliament, Hon. John Kwame Adu Jack, and the Bono Regional Minister for their successful lobbying efforts in securing a DVLA Office for Dormaa Central and the neighboring constituencies. He conveyed his concern regarding the years of frustration and the accidents experienced by the residents of Dormaa, who previously had to travel to Sunyani and other locations to access DVLA services.

Hon. John Kwame Adu Jack, the Member of Parliament for Dormaa Central, stated that the Dormaa West, East, and Central constituencies have long advocated for the establishment of a DVLA Office in Dormaa.
