KPETOE, GHANA – A shocking incident occurred this morning in Kpetoe, Ghana, when a critically ill boy and his mother were denied ambulance services despite numerous calls for help. The boy and his mother were forced to travel by commercial car, in hopes of meeting the ambulance on the way, but were met with disappointment. The ambulance was found to be stationed at the Kpetoe station and the boy was refused service by Mr. Dogbey, the ambulance service staff.

According to eyewitnesses, the nurses at Ziope Clinic confirmed that this is not the first time that the ambulance service has failed to respond to emergency calls, resulting in loss of life. 1. Even in my district, before u can get an ambulance to a resignated hospital within the region, u r to pay a 1000 cedis before. Hmmmm, its just unfortunate, where will an ordinary Ghanaian get such an amount in the first place and also before the patient leaves too, he or she must settle the hospital’s charges. Hmmmmm, its indeed very very sad. Health in Ghana is something
