Refrain from chaotic activities to facilitate violence-free elections – NCCE Director to Ghanaian Youths
Ahead of 2024 General elections, the National Commission For Civic Education (NCCE) have embarked on a series of sensitization campaigns to create awareness on the need to maintain peaceful co-existence to ensure violence-Free elections.
During a political Party Youth Activist Engagement on preventing and Containing Violent extremism, peace and tolerance ahead of the election 2024, organized by the Dormaa Central Chapter of the NCCE, the NCCE Bono Regional Director, Mrs. Cynthia Anima Boadu encouraged the Youths to desist from actions that threaten peace and security before, during and after the elections to ensure the progress of the country. She explained that the program focused on how fake news are identified, ensuring tolerance and fostering unity ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
On his Part, the Dormaa Central Municipal Director of the National Commission For Civic Education, Elder Seth Broni Thagboloh speaking about religious tolerance urged Faith groups and religious bodies to tolerate each other’s views and their religious beliefs to foster peace and unity among themselves, emphasizing that religious denomination must not affect the peace of the country but rather unite us.
