The Minister of Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development, as well as the Member of Parliament for the Techiman South Constituency, Hon. Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah, has called upon Ghanaians, particularly the inhabitants of Dormaa Ahenkro, to ensure the retention of the NPP government. He encourages them to cast a decisive vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and all NPP parliamentary candidates to ensure the seamless continuation of all ongoing developmental projects initiated by the Akufo Addo-Bawumia administration.
Addressing the assembly of Nananom and Dormaa Central Constituents at the inauguration of the new transport terminal, constructed under the NPP’s Secondary Cities Support Programme, the Local Government Minister highlighted that the initiatives, encompassing road construction, market development, and street lighting installation, have profoundly transformed Dormaa Ahenkro. He emphasized that these projects embody the NPP government’s commitment to revitalizing cities and communities across the nation.
He asserted that the NPP government is renowned for its social intervention policies, and therefore only the NPP administration can sustain the initiatives commenced by Akufo Addo, hence it is imperative for Ghanaians to elect Dr. Bawumia to guarantee the thorough completion and effective execution of all social intervention policies and other developmental projects to foster the nation’s growth and advancement.
Honorable Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah urged the MCE and the Assembly staff to diligently oversee the facility users to guarantee their upkeep, emphasizing that a robust maintenance culture will secure the long-term utilization of the facilities for an enhanced experience.
The Dormaa Central Municipal Chief Executive, Honorable Drissa Ouattara, elucidated his collaborative efforts with the Dormaa Central Member of Parliament, Honorable Kwaku Agyeman Manu, in advocating for Dormaa Central’s inclusion in the Secondary Cities Support Project. He emphasized that the government initially aimed to target only three assemblies within the then Brong-Ahafo region, but their concerted endeavors led to the Dormaa Central Municipality being considered.
He unveiled his aspirations to undertake ventures beyond the conventional norms of every MMDCE, such as constructing schools, toilets, water facilities, and the like, which motivated him to exert effort in realizing the project for Dormaa Central.
