Peter N. Sorinye, affectionately known as “Action Man”, is positioning himself as a strong contender for the position of National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Secretary for Lawra, presenting himself as an experienced administrator, grassroots organiser and dedicated party loyalist committed to strengthening the party’s structures.
With more than 15 years of professional experience spanning project management, commercial and contract administration, microfinance marketing and organisational leadership, Sorinye has built a reputation as a disciplined, results-driven professional with a passion for public service and community development.
Academic and Professional Excellence
Sorinye holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Construction Technology and Management and a Master of Science (MSc) in Project Management. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), reflecting his determination to broaden his expertise in governance, public administration and legal affairs.
His blend of technical knowledge, strategic planning and administrative competence has enabled him to deliver practical solutions in both the corporate and public sectors. Colleagues and associates describe him as an effective organiser with exceptional leadership, analytical and communication skills.
A Grassroots Politician with Deep Party Roots
Sorinye’s political journey with the National Democratic Congress dates back to 2008, when he became an active supporter of the party. His commitment deepened in 2011 after joining the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where he played an active role in student mobilisation and party organisation.
He contributed significantly to the NDC’s grassroots campaign efforts during the 2012 general election and has remained actively involved in party activities through the 2020 and 2024 elections.
His dedication to public service also saw him contest for the position of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE). Although unsuccessful, he continued to serve the party with unwavering loyalty, demonstrating his commitment to the NDC’s ideals and long-term success.

Widely recognised for maintaining strong relationships with communities across the Lawra Constituency, Sorinye is a passionate advocate for youth empowerment, mentorship, community development and inclusive leadership.
He believes lasting political success can only be achieved through disciplined organisation, transparency, accountability, teamwork and active grassroots participation.
