C/R: Upper Denkyira West NDC Youth Urge Delegates to Elect Youth as Constituency Chairman

Some youth members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Upper Denkyira West Constituency have appealed to delegates to elect a young person as the next Constituency Chairman ahead of the party’s constituency elections.
According to them, it is time for the party to give young people the opportunity to lead and help strengthen the constituency’s structures.
They argued that having a youthful chairman would make it easier for young party members to approach the leadership on issues such as employment opportunities and youth development.
The youth endorsed Mr. J.M. Golomeke for the position of Constituency Chairman, saying they trust in his leadership abilities and believe he can unite the party and effectively lead the constituency.

They noted that Mr. Golomeke currently serves as the Constituency Treasurer, describing his performance in that role as commendable and saying it demonstrates his readiness to serve as chairman.
They also expressed confidence that under his leadership, the NDC could win the Upper Denkyira West parliamentary seat in the 2028 general elections.
The youth further claimed that the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament has not done enough to improve the constituency and said they believe the NDC has a strong chance of winning the seat in 2028.
