A collision involving a Hyundai Rhino truck and a stationary vehicle has left one person injured in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region. The incident took place on the Bibiani–Goaso highway when the truck, with registration number AS 5632-26, crashed into a Daewoo Ultra Novus truck, registration number AC 294-24, which had been parked on the roadside due to a mechanical fault.

The driver of the Hyundai Rhino, Abraham Nkrumah, stated that the vehicle was traveling from Sefwi Juaboso to Kumasi when the crash occurred. He explained that he was unable to spot the stationary truck in time because there was no visible warning signal, such as a warning triangle, to alert oncoming drivers of the hazard.

At the time of the accident, six people were on board the Rhino truck. Fortunately, only the conductor of the truck sustained injuries. The injured person was immediately rushed to Divine Love Hospital for medical treatment.

The incident highlights the importance of ensuring that stationary vehicles on highways are properly marked to prevent accidents.
