The Ghana National Fire Service has confirmed that 11 people have died, while 13 others sustained injuries in a multiple-vehicle crash on the Ofankor–Pokuase stretch.
The crash, which involved several vehicles, occurred along one of the busiest routes in the Greater Accra Region.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service responded to the scene and assisted in rescue operations.
The incident has renewed calls for improved road safety measures, especially on highways with heavy traffic.
