Salam Mustapha, the National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed his confidence in the party’s ability to win the 2024 Ghanaian election, following the victory of Nigeria’s All Progressives Congress (APC). Despite the economic challenges currently facing Ghana, Mustapha believes that the NPP can replicate the APC’s success by winning a third term.

Mustapha argued that the Nana Addo-led administration has managed the economy better than other countries, such as Nigeria and Sri Lanka, in the midst of the global economic meltdown. Speaking on Bolgatanga-based Dreamz FM, Mustapha noted that the party’s victory in 2024 would be led by the youth of the party.

According to Mustapha, “Breaking the 8,” which refers to the NPP’s goal of securing a third term, “is not an impossibility.” He added, “I have been going round the country and I can say that the energy our youth are showing gives me motivation. We are going all out to tell the people of this country what we have done and to protect the sovereignty of our nation and make sure we break the 8.”

Mustapha also emphasized the need for the youth of the party to show character, mental toughness, and work hard to win. He acknowledged that Ghana is currently facing difficult times, but he believes that the NPP can overcome these challenges and make history in the country. Mustapha concluded, “The NPP will make history in this country, and our names will be remembered for our gallantry.”
