Former Nottingham Forest and Brighton boss Chris Hughton arrives in Ghana ahead of his unveiling as the new coach of the Ghanaian national football team on March 20.
Hughton was spotted with assistant coach George Boateng at the funeral service of Christian Atsu held at the Forecourt of the State House.
The 64-year-old coach will be introduced to the public in Kumasi on Monday, and details of his contract and objectives will also be announced by the Ghana Football Association.
Sources indicate that Hughton will sign a three-year contract and will be responsible for leading the team to qualify for both the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana will host the Black Antelopes on March 23 for the first leg in Kumasi, with the return encounter set to take place in Luanda four days later.
