President John Dramani Mahama has announced changes to the National Security Secretariat with the appointment of six key individuals to strengthen the country’s security coordination and operations.
The appointments include Prosper Douglas Bani as National Security Advisor, DCOP Abdul-Osman Razak as National Security Coordinator, COP Nathan Kofi Boakye (Rtd.) as Director of Operations at the Presidency, and Charles Kipo as Director-General of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
Other members of the broader security team include Lt. General Peter Augustine Blay (Rtd.), Kofi Totobi Quakyi, Larry Gbevlo-Lartey, and Brigadier General Fuseini Iddrissu (Rtd.), who were part of the interim national security coordinating arrangement.
The reshuffle is expected to improve collaboration among security agencies and enhance Ghana’s preparedness in dealing with emerging security threats.
The Presidency said the appointments reflect President Mahama’s commitment to building a strong and effective national security structure that protects citizens and promotes national stability.
