The Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana has officially installed Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I, son of the late Apostle Emeritus Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, as the new leader of the mission.
The installation ceremony took place on Sunday, June 21, 2026, marking a new chapter in the leadership of the religious organisation. Mission leaders and members offered prayers for wisdom, strength and divine guidance as Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I assumes his new role.
The development comes amid ongoing legal disputes over the succession process following the death of Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka. It also follows a shooting incident involving former Dome-Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo, which occurred yesterday.
