The Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Jaman North constituency, Mr. Abraham Sah, has extolled Hon. Frederick Yaw Ahenkwaa, the Member of Parliament for Jaman North, for his tireless efforts and confrontations with the Road Minister from the previous NPP administration on the parliamentary floor in ensuring the advancement of the construction of the dilapidated roads connecting Sampa, the district capital, to Wenchi, Drobo, and other neighboring communities.

According to the NDC Chairman, the primary challenge faced by the people of the Jaman North constituency has been the poor condition of the roads. Despite the MP’s vigorous attempts to address this issue, progress has been hindered by the government’s failure to allocate the necessary funds for road construction. He expressed optimism that under the current NDC administration, led by President John Dramani Mahama, the long-neglected roads of Jaman North will soon be constructed, thereby invigorating businesses and enhancing efficient transportation.

Chairman Abraham Sah conveyed that the constituents of Jaman North have experienced the beneficial policies implemented by their Member of Parliament, Hon. Ahenkwaa Yaw Frederick, during his inaugural term as an opposition MP. These initiatives garnered him public trust, resulting in an increase in votes in the 2024 general elections compared to those he secured in 2016. He emphasized that Hon. Frederick is among the MPs who prioritize accountability, ensuring transparency regarding his allocation of the Common Fund and other resources, and how these funds are utilized.

He concluded that public expectations for Hon. Ahenkwaa Yaw Frederick will be elevated, given that he is no longer an opposition MP. The constituents will anticipate greater achievements, and the constituency Chairman, District Chief Executive, Member of Parliament, along with the central government, must collaborate diligently to address the challenges in the Jaman North District, particularly in constructing roads for the constituents’ benefit.
