Hajj fare reduction: Dormaa Central Municipal Chief Iman commends government

The Dormaa Central Municipal Chief Imam, Sheikh Zakaria Ibrahim, has lauded President John Dramani Mahama and the present Hajj Board for the substantial reduction in Hajj pilgrimage fare from Gh¢75,000 to Gh¢62,000.

Sheikh Zakaria Ibrahim asserts that this decrease will enable more Muslim pilgrims to undertake the Hajj journey, underscoring the gratitude of Ghana’s Muslim communities towards President John Dramani Mahama and the current Hajj Board for their unwavering efforts in lowering the Hajj fare in support of the Muslim populace.

 

In light of the Hajj fare reduction, the Municipal Chief Imam, Sheikh Zakaria Ibrahim, urged the government to guarantee the provision of excellent and high-quality services for the pilgrims, ensuring that they are not adversely impacted by the fare reduction.

 

Sheik Zakaria Ibrahim proposed that an additional decrease in the fare would be highly welcomed. Nonetheless, he praised the government for the newly established price. He indicated that the announcement has provided considerable relief to Muslims, allowing them to save GH₵13,000, which can be allocated to other expenditures.
