International women’s Day: Dormaa East MP commends women for their endless support for the development of the country

 

The Member of Parliament for the Dormaa East constituency in the Bono Region, Honorable Rachel Owusuaa, extends her heartfelt congratulations to women for their unwavering support in fostering the nation’s growth.

 

During her contribution to the parliamentary debate yesterday, March 12, 2025, in observance of International Women’s Day, she expressed profound gratitude to all women for their compassion towards the sick and elderly. She emphasized the significant roles midwives and nurses have played in delivering superior healthcare to pregnant women during childbirth.

 

She also lauded women engaged in agriculture, particularly those within her constituency, Dormaa East, for their substantial contributions to society in terms of food provision.

 

Honorable Rachel Owusuaa expressed her gratitude to single mothers for their dedication in addressing their children’s educational needs. Furthermore, she extended her congratulations to all women for their support to their husbands and families in nurturing children who can contribute positively to society.

 

She urged both the government and husbands to assist women in augmenting their contributions to society and the nation as a whole adding that without the support from the government and husbands, women’s contribution to society would be limited.
