The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has directed the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) to investigate a viral video alleging the unauthorized withdrawal of GH₵400,000 from the mobile money account of an agent in Kibi.
According to the police, the victim has been contacted and is cooperating with the investigation.
“The IGP has taken this matter seriously and the PPSB has been tasked to conduct a thorough inquiry,” the post on the Ghana Police Service Facebook page stated.
Authorities assured the public that the results of the investigation would be communicated once the process is completed.
