The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has explained that he ignored comments by Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu regarding his recent “Thank You Tour” because the minister misunderstood the purpose of the exercise.
According to Asiedu Nketiah, the tour was organised to appreciate party supporters and stakeholders for their contributions and sacrifices, rather than to serve any political agenda beyond its intended objective.
He said comments suggesting otherwise were based on a misunderstanding of the tour, and therefore he chose not to engage in a public response.
The NDC Chairman stressed that the exercise was aimed at strengthening the relationship between the party leadership and its grassroots members by acknowledging their support.
Asiedu Nketiah added that internal party discussions and differences should be handled through the appropriate channels rather than through public exchanges.
His comments come after Haruna Iddrisu expressed views on the “Thank You Tour,” which sparked discussions among some party members and political observers.
