The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso North, Yussif Issaka, has announced the passing of Ghana’s Deputy Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Sanni Jajah.
In a Facebook post, the MP revealed that Mr Jajah, who was his nephew, died on the evening of Saturday, August 9.
Mr Issaka described the death as a painful loss to the family and appealed to the public to remember them in their thoughts and prayers as they mourn.
He added that details regarding funeral arrangements and other burial-related matters would be communicated by the family at the appropriate time.
Sanni Jajah was appointed Deputy Head of Mission at Ghana’s Embassy in Saudi Arabia on September 11, 2025, by President John Dramani Mahama.
In his role, he worked alongside Ghana’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Said Sinare, overseeing consular duties and supporting Ghanaian citizens in the Kingdom.
His responsibilities included assisting Ghanaian nationals, particularly pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia for the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
