Telecommunications company MTN Ghana has announced a support package for Ghanaians returning to the country following reported xenophobic attacks in South Africa.
The company says the intervention is aimed at supporting affected returnees as they rebuild their lives after leaving South Africa.
The package is expected to provide assistance to help ease the challenges faced by the returnees and support their reintegration into Ghanaian society.
The development follows concerns over the safety and welfare of Ghanaian nationals living abroad, especially during periods of unrest.
Authorities and stakeholders continue to encourage peaceful coexistence and protection of citizens both within Ghana and abroad.
