Fire gut construction excavator at work at Ajumako Amia
A fire incident partially destroyed an excavator during road grading work near a church in Ajumako Amia, Ajumako Enyan Essiam District, Central Region. The Ajumako District Fire Station responded swiftly, led by DO2 Kingsley Yeboah, to extinguish the blaze on the machine owned by a company handling the Ajumako to Agona Swedru road expansion project.

No casualties or injuries occurred due to the fire service’s timely intervention, which prevented total loss of the equipment.
The excavator sustained partial damage, and investigations continue to identify the fire’s cause.

DO2 Kingsley Yeboah briefed Yaw Boagyan from Channel 247 News highlighting the effective quenching efforts that averted a larger disaster.
This follows recent fire challenges in the district, including the full destruction of Ajumako Ocheso Police Station on March 10, 2026, also managed by the same fire commander.
