A fatal accident involving a motorcycle and a container truck has occurred at Fetteh Kakraba Airport Junction, off the Kasoa–Winneba Road in the Central Region.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened when a container truck with registration number GN-4199-22 collided with a motorcycle with registration number M-Z4-CR. The impact left the motorcycle rider dead, while the passenger who was on the motorbike sustained injuries and has been admitted to the hospital for medical attention.
The driver of the container truck has since been arrested and is assisting the police with investigations into the incident.
The accident has left residents and road users at the junction calling for increased caution among motorists to help prevent similar incidents.
