Ernest Opoku, a renowned gospel musician, has shared his experience living in a house that served as the headquarters of drug barons in Krofrom, a community in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional Capital. In an interview with Hello FM in Kumasi, Opoku disclosed that drug dealers used to sell drugs in their house and occasionally hid drugs in their home. However, he was never influenced to partake in the drug trade.

When asked if he had ever tried drugs, Opoku responded by saying that despite living in one of the most notorious communities for drug trade, he had never used drugs. He explained that he was grateful to God for protecting him from engaging in such acts.

Opoku appeared on the show to promote his latest song, which celebrates his 20 years in the music industry. He reiterated his appreciation to God for his protection and guidance throughout his life.

In conclusion, Ernest Opoku’s experience living in a drug barons’ hideout is a testament to the power of individual choice and the importance of making responsible decisions. Despite the unfavorable environment, he stayed true to his values and did not succumb to peer pressure or influence.
