Engage Now Africa responds to an invitation from Salvation Army to A regional conference involving Combatting Human Trafficking
Engage Now Africa (ENA) recently participated in a Salvation Army International program addressing human trafficking. The event brought together experts from Africa and the diaspora, including United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime consultants.
ENA’s presentation on return and reintegration highlighted Survivor Empowerment through sustainable livelihood support, skills training, medical care, and therapy. The presentation also discussed challenges survivors face, including psychological trauma, stigma, and limited economic opportunities.
Some successful reintegration outcomes were discussed also : safety, physical and mental wellbeing, healthy relationships, and economic opportunities.
The program featured interactive breakout sessions, fostering best practice by sharing real-life scenario discussions and Role-playing exercises
ENA emphasized its commitment to combating human trafficking through strengthened partnerships and collaborations with Salvation Army International and other organizations.
