Residents of the Amanfron Electoral Area in Asamankese, within the Lower West Akyem Municipality, are appealing to the relevant public health authorities to urgently address worsening sanitation conditions in the community.
According to the residents, although the Municipal Assembly charges between GH¢2 and GH¢5 for refuse collection—depending on the volume—waste is often left uncollected, leading to heaps of garbage in the area.
They are therefore calling for immediate intervention to prevent potential health risks and improve environmental cleanliness.
